Research interest

Nature comprises systems that are not in thermodynamic equilibrium. These systems are subject to change or change can be triggered, and they are continuously and discontinuously subject to flux of matter and energy to and from other systems and to chemical reactions. My research interests focus on fundamental surface thermodynamic studies from both experimental and theoretical points of view. Also, I study the thermodynamics of irreversible phenomena.

As national of a country whose economy is dependent of precious substances, I developed another research pole to support mineral exploration. I am willing to develop techniques and methods based on the electric potential of ores to detect mineral of interest.

Key words: Non-equilibrium Thermodynamics, Thermodynamics of irreversible phenomena, Thermodynamics of surface phenomena, Ores, Electric Potential, Mining exploration.

Other activities

Through the years, I developped a solid expertise in the adminsitration and management of higher education institution. This expertise has been built upon a training on strategic management that I received at the Management Institute of Atlanta, in Atlanta, Georgia (Usa). I have hold several positions as manager of several public and private institutions in the country.
