Research interest

In addition to advocate for Women in Science in developing countries, I am actively involved in research in the broad field of Environmental Chemistry in the water area. My group has been involved in several research areas for water quality exploring emerging contaminants, contaminant transformation kinetics and mechanisms. My research activities demonstrate the need to advance analytical techniques and to develop novel physical-chemical treatment processes for water and waste systems. Future projects to be developed will be in these areas.

Key words: Hydrochemistry, Environmental chemistry, Water treatment, Sanitation and Environment, Modelling and Water Quality resources

Teaching

  • Ground Water Pollution and Chemistry
  • Drinking Water Supply
  • Introduction to Integrated Water Resources Management
  • Water Treatment
  • Interference between biogeochemical systems
  • Colloid Chemistry
